Dared for something out of the usual? This was my experience when I agreed to wear a mankini, as dared by a friend, for . The deviant part is, I got to wear it on a Casual Friday at the office. My only hope of not looking foolish was if there would be an officemate who’d actually wear something closer to my theme of fashion.

Of course, I went to work wearing my coat. But I know everyone was eyeing on the sight of me as bold as Borat, only mine making a statement on baby blue tint. Before I got to show off my fashion, I let them show me the money, and then I was on. I don’t exactly know whether it was the hot weather or my shyness that made me sweat too much, but when I reveale d myself with my new fashion sense, I seemed to be the gleaming attraction for Casual Friday.

When I arrived at the office, some people who knew about the bet anticipated. I approached my friend who made the offer, and before he gave me the amount of money in full, he asked me what color my mankini was. I always had a hunch that he was sort of gay, but I decided to be gay for a day too. I said my mankini was blue, and he immediately spread the news.

I guess my strategy worked, because during lunchtime I have gotten to talk to this hot chick from the department next to ours. Turned out she was wearing a bikini matched by tight jeans, and her friends ate with us on the table.

So, I guess the rest of my day manifested a positive feedback from the people around me in general. I really thought it would be a total failure outfit; my coat was ready to back me up. The hot chick told me that had I been another person, it wouldn’t have been the same impression my mankini was winning the war.

The experience of having to wear a Mankini to my office on a Casual Friday don’t seem to be an activity I’d like to repeat, but at least I earned more than . I got some of my female officemates hitting on me, though I never thought I could be that hot on it.
